The film certainly ranks as one of the closest-to-the-real-story Hollywood historical mega-films. In fact half the time, I didn't even know what was going on. For any first-time viewers, try to ignore the previous poor press and do watch the movie, with an open mind too.

This new set presents the film in great quality and comes with some fantastic special features, but it's doubtful that this latest version of "Alexander" is going to change anyone's mind as to the quality of the film itself.
