I think it was kind of making fun of some other movies that were too serious. I think we've all been to that high school reunion where one of our classmates has become a professional assassin, right? There are some wonderful set pieces - amongst them a shoot-out in a convenience store, with the counter assistant completely oblivious as he's playing a noisy video game; and the hitmen breakfasting together in a diner, guns cocked under the table..Of course there are plenty of bodies to be disposed of, in this blackest of black comedies. It's a good movie and I'd recommend it. It made him more of a hero. As soon as I saw this film, it immediately became one of my all-time favourites. But he's was in his prime when this movie was made. We need more hero's in movies and fewer bad guys.

Black Panther (2018) "Long live the king." I was working as an optician at the time and my co worker at work told me to watch this movie and he was right on about how great it was. John Cusack is a master of black comedy and fork assassination and his sister Joan as his secretary/handler is a ditzy but deadly joy to watch.
I've always loved this film, the dialog is just snap, crackle, and pop full of witticisms, double entendres, quips, allusions. Finally Cusack's mid-1990s hit is in true high def.
